HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF EAST TENNESSEE RELEASES STRATEGIC PLAN
President Fuad Reveiz presents strategic plan for chamber growth
KNOXVILLE, TN – The board president of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of East Tennessee (HCCET), Fuad Reveiz, introduced a strategic plan outlining HCCET’s goals and initiatives for 2013 including a workforce development initiative, formation of a database of Hispanics and related businesses in East Tennessee, launch of a startup and business education program for Hispanic business owners and expansion of chamber services throughout the region.
The plan was the result of the chamber’s recent Strategic Planning Summit held at the YWCA offices in downtown Knoxville.  More than 25 community stakeholders participated in the planning summit including Clayton/Vanderbilt, Scripps Networks, ORNL, U.S. Dept. of Commerce, SunTrust Bank, Coulter & Justus and Latino Task Force East Tennessee, among others.
HCCET Chief Operating Officer Marilyn Smith Cobble said, “The strong community participation in our strategic planning process validates our vision and mission in the region.” The complete plan is available at the HCCET website www.hccet.org.
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of East Tennessee (HCCET) was formed in 2004 as a 501 c (6) nonprofit organization based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Its vision is to see Hispanic-owned businesses thrive and to see the Hispanic population of East Tennessee fully connected to local and regional businesses as consumers and employees.
