MCG News Release: Asbury Taps Hubbard to Serve as First-Ever Director of Tri-Cities Operations

JOHNSON CITY, TN — Asbury Inc. is pleased to announce that Debbie Hubbard, a 17-year veteran of the organization, has been tapped as the new Director of Asbury Tri-Cities. In this new role, Ms. Hubbard, who has had leadership experience at each of Asbury’s Tri-Cities communities, will have direct oversight and responsibility for Asbury Place Baysmont, Asbury Place Steadman Hill, Asbury Place Johnson City, and Forest Ridge Manor.

Ms. Hubbard was previously the Director of Asbury at Home. A new director will be selected for that division.

Marge Shonnard, Asbury’s Vice-President of Operations, said, “Debbie is an exceptional senior living professional. No one is more qualified to lead the organization in this role. We look forward to welcoming her back to Asbury Place Kingsport, Baysmont campus.”

Ms. Hubbard joined Asbury as the Director of Dining Services, then became the Assisted Living Director before becoming a nursing home administrator. She was President of Forest Ridge Manor, a low-income senior housing project owned by Asbury. Ms. Hubbard holds a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics with an emphasis in Dietetics and Food Systems Management from East Tennessee State University. She also has a Master’s degree in Organizational Management from Tusculum College. Ms. Hubbard and her husband Dwight have one son.
