DIVERSE GROUP OF INTERNS JOINS MORRIS CREATIVE TEAM

KNOXVILLE, TENN.—Morris Creative Group, a leading 22-year-old marketing firm in downtown Knoxville, is proud to introduce five new interns to its marketing and design team. The group, comprised of students, graduates, local Knoxvillians and one international student, will contribute their creative skills throughout the summer.

Ifra AijazIfra Aijaz is finishing her final year at the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, located in her hometown of Kavachi, Pakistan, where she will earn a bachelor’s degree in graphic design with a minor in photography. This summer marks Aijaz’s first trip to the United States. She came to Knoxville to visit her sister and complete two internships, one at Morris Creative Group and another with the Knoxville chapter of AIGA. After graduating, Aijaz hopes to move to California and later attend graduate school for industrial design.

Paige BerryPaige Berry is a 2012 graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in graphic design. After graduation, Berry spent four months studying art in Florence, Italy. A continuous multi-tasker, she also works and freelances at Bliss, Nathanna and Cumulus Media. A native of South Knoxville, Berry wants to one day open her own design studio and vintage shop.

 

Sam EllisA graduate of the University of Tennessee, Sam Ellis earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and English in 2012. Ellis spent a year in Washington D.C., where he worked at an economic policy think tank and as an assistant in the U.S. Senate. Originally from Knoxville, he is a West High School alumnus. In his spare time, Ellis said he enjoys playing music and exercising.

 

Jennifer Joy JerniganJennifer Joy Jernigan, of Tullahoma, Tenn., is a senior at the University of Tennessee where she serves as the treasurer of the student chapter of AIGA. She plans on graduating in May 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and a minor in journalism. Previously, Jernigan interned at Sporting News in New York City. After graduation, Jernigan said she would like to return to New York City and find a job where she would “always be traveling and always be learning.”

Ben MillerA senior at the University of Tennessee, Benjamin Miller is majoring in graphic design with a minor in photography. A native of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Miller has previously worked as a marketing assistant and graphic designer at the Upper Room Ministries and UT’s Tennessee Recreational Center for Students. After earning his bachelor’s degree, Miller said he plans to attend graduate school, travel and work at a marketing firm.
