Morris Creative Group LLC Welcomes New Advertising Intern
KNOXVILLE, TENN. – August 29, 2012 – Molly Russell has joined the team at Morris Creative Group LLC, a leading 21-year-old marketing firm in downtown Knoxville. As an intern, she will contribute her strategic skills to MCG during the fall semester.
Russell is a senior at The University of Tennessee where she is studying advertising and serves as the vice president of the Ad Club. After visiting MCG during a DesignWeek studio tour, Russell said she thought she’d found a prime spot to learn.
“I really liked the work environment and the designs of the work they were creating,” Russell said. “I thought it would be a good fit.”
A native of Nashville, Russell started her education in graphic design but was lured to the world of advertising, which she said has made her more well-rounded. “I liked involving the business side with the creative; it was a better fit for what I wanted to do,” she said of switching majors. “I think it will help me in the long-run to communicate more effectively.”
Russell said she wants to build her portfolio during her time at MCG, learn the “ins and outs of client relationships,” and anything else she can get her hands on.
