Meet Peyton and Courtney: MCG’s Summer Interns
MCG is welcoming two interns to the team this week, and we couldn’t be happier! Join us in welcoming Peyton Mooneyhan, Digital Marketing Intern, and Courtney Apedaile, Design Intern, to the MCG team. Peyton Mooneyhan, Digital Marketing Intern
Peyton recently completed her first year as an advertising graduate student at the University of Tennessee. A COVID graduate, she received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism & Electronic Media from UT in the spring of 2020. She is passionate about all things social media, branding and storytelling. She looks forward to learning about other aspects of the advertising world through her internship at MCG, especially account management and research.
Despite being born and raised just outside of Atlanta, GA, Peyton has always been a die-hard Vol fan and East Tennessee played a large part in her upbringing. She enjoys hiking and spending her time outdoors, so you can likely spot her hiking trails throughout Great Smoky Mountains National Park on most weekends. She also loves exploring new spots in the Knoxville area and supporting local businesses like K Brew and Balter Beerworks.
Peyton attributes her growth and success to deeply caring about the product she puts out. “Whether it be studying for an exam or creating content for an upcoming campaign, I take great pride in my work. I think this tendency shows through in both my work and my personality,” Peyton said.
Courtney Apedaile, Design Intern
Courtney is currently a senior at the University of Tennessee studying Graphic Design. With previous experience working on digital design, Courtney is most excited to learn the ropes of print design during her internship with MCG. In addition, Courtney is interested in designing social media graphics, developing brand identities, and expanding her knowledge of photography and videography.
Of her most recent accomplishments, Courtney is most proud of launching her business, Illustrated by Court, in the middle of the pandemic. “Like everyone else, I was stuck at home, so I finally got time to create and design things I loved,” said Courtney. “Through that I have been able to create a successful small business that I am so passionate about.” You can browse her Etsy shop here.
Born in California, Courtney and her family moved to Tennessee when she was seven. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys trying local coffee shops, taking weekend trips with her boyfriend, and attending concerts – in fact, she’s been to over thirty in total!
The MCG team is so glad to have Peyton and Courtney on our team this summer and can’t wait to collaborate with them on our upcoming client projects!
